When the sound of life mutes, the traffic fades, neighbors across hallways fall still, and the background noise of expectations and notifications dissolves.
In that quiet, something unlocks. Focus is free to roam. Time softens. Molds. Elongates.
The mind stops bracing. Exhaling. Quietly. Rare clarity that appears when the world steps back.

“Soft Focus”
I tend to hyperfixate on things and go all in.
Maybe this year I'll manage to do things a little more softly, enjoy them a little more mindfully.

I love how the moon waxes and wanes. How this orb of light in our dark skies is responsible for the ebb and flow of our oceans.
How it gloes so intimitely just for me on my late walk.
I too, have phases. Brimming with paint and ideas one moment, needing quiet and darkness the next. In a world of content creation, these phases might not feed the algorithm but they feed my soul.
(The wooden stretchers on the canvas are warped from excess water during painting, it makes the painting not lie level. Might have to get it restretched by your local framer. Hence the price decrease from 3600 to 2500)

I’m not saying I’m impatient, but why hasn’t my life magically changed for the better the second I moved across the world?
My old life back home felt like shoes I had outgrown.
Yet here I am in this shiny new city, and I feel overwhelmed, and tired from a way-too-long flight, and I just want to arrive. Somewhere. Anywhere. Now.
Before I even had real furniture in my new apartment in Gangnam, I painted this. On edge, needing to express all the unmet expectations. Expel all my frustration. My desire for life to be easy just once. Reeling from the transformation I chose to undergo by uprooting my whole life.
“I’m done waiting“ holds all these feelings at once: restlessness, alive and buzzing, a little disillusioned, maybe a teensy bit sleep-deprived, but determined to forge your own way.
“I’m done waiting “ is part of my “Seoul Searching“ series

This painting was inspired by my first ever trip to Busan. I stayed in Seoul during most of Covid, so this little trip was my first vacation anywhere in Korea that wasn’t the capital.
And. I. Loved. It.
I love the sea so much, and I went on a clear walkway over the water. The waves crashing against the rocks, the green and the blue mingling into brilliant turquoise, the white seafoam breaking it all up… I literally dropped my bags the moment I came home and painted this.
You might be wondering about the price…
There is a story behind that.
I love “Busan Boi” so much that I don’t really want to let it go.
It almost sold once when it was still listed at my usual price, and I had such a visceral reaction that I checked the highest possible price point on my website and set it there.
If it sells for one million, I might be okay with letting it go. Maybe.

When I look at this painting I get excited, I want to do things. It energizes me in a way coffee never could and lifts my spirits.
Named after one of my favorite Marina and the Diamond songs (slightly altered bc the internet doesn’t like the B word), this painting is part of an ongoing series inspired by music.
120x160x3.8cm, acrylic on canvas, comes to you signed (on the side) and unstretched, on loose canvas (you need to let it be stretched on canvas bars by a local framer) due to its size.
I see the clear blue reef and hear the sound of waves lapping against the shore of Motunui when looking at this piece.
Moana heavily inspired my color choices and I created the whole piece while listening to its incredible soundtrack. That's why I called it "How Far I'll Go"!

This painting is about longing and belonging and also trust. It makes me feel excited and safe at the same time and inspires me to take a leap of faith. What do you feel looking at it?
The soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann's "Moulin Rouge" is one of my all-time favorites! Especially "Come What May" gets me every time and inspired me to paint this new work as part of an ongoing series inspired by music.

Tail swishing, fins stretching, and churning water that is glistening in the early afternoon sun. One or the other excited giggle drifts upwards, reaching your ears. Settled deep inside the foliage, hidden from view, you watch the scene play out below you. Mermaids. You heard about their mischievous nature, but never before did you have a chance to witness their antics firsthand. They could be cruel, but oh so beautiful.

Two pieces that belong together. They grew up separately but found solace in each other.

Whenever I reach a new level of accomplishment, my old blocks and doubts start to rise up again. Am I really good enough to deserve this? Here is to recognizing those easily and banishing as fast as they come up!

The untouched wilderness in its pure state. Nature truly is magnificent.

This was inspired by a bouquet of spring flowers in lovely shades of white, creme, pink, and green. In many of my paintings, I derive color combinations from nature and things I've seen in my life.

Do you ever feel like a passion takes over your life? That every waking moment is spent on it happily and everything else fades in comparison. Things you enjoyed before grate on your nerves and only this one thing makes you happy? All consuming.

Whenever I look at this painting I feel such serenity. It's hard to put into words what a calming effect it has on me. Art is such a wonderful medium to lift your spirits.

The magical view of a child, where every day is endless in its possibilities. A short reprieve from the heat comes in form of the ice cream truck. But the decision is even more difficult to bear than the scorching sun.

For every girl, every woman that finally appreciates herself for what she has accomplished, how far she’s come. „KWEEN“ is for that moment when you’ve been crying for the last 3 days and don’t know what to do with your life. It’s a reminder that you are still just as much a queen as when you are crushing it and on top of the world.

I love how the magenta works with the soft pinks and deep mauve tones. There is a lot of fiery passion and movement in this painting and it energizes, revitalizes.
The golden flourishes are reminiscent of luxury caught in the storm of carnal emotions.
100x100x1.5cm, acrylic on canvas, comes to you signed (on the bottom right) and sides painted.
I don’t know about you, but I used to have such a hard time receiving anything. Help for projects, money for a job well done, praise…
To „RECEIVE“ and to accept abundance graciously is something we should all work towards. This piece is a way to remind you of that every day.

This is the first and only painting where I used glitter and shimmery pigments mixed in with the colors. You can see it in the bluish sheen in some of the drips, especially on the bottom left.

I tend to be a workaholic and have a reminder on my phone that says: „ME TIME“. It’s something that pops up randomly through the day and a signal for me to stop working, relax my shoulders, unclench my jaw, and go do something I enjoy that’s not work-related for at least an hour. This piece could work as your reminder, that whenever you look at it, it’s playtime. Looking at this piece, allowing yourself to calm down, shut off the computer, shut off your phone, and go and enjoy yourself.

A lot of people ask me when do I know that I am finished with a painting. And this is it. While painting, I’m waiting for „A SENSE OF SERENITY“ to set in. Whenever I paint, I am in a heightened state, I’m really focused, the energy is flowing. I’m in the flow and I’m just working without stopping. When I slow down with a painting, this whole state of excitement slowly leaves me and leaves me with a sense of serenity. And it’s the same with goals I’ve set myself. If I slow down enough for me to appreciate my wins and how far I’ve come, I have that much more energy to tackle the next one.

This is for everyone who might have been floundering there for a while, to get yourself dusted off and out of any lingering self-pity. If you don’t believe in your abilities and yourself, why should anybody else? This piece is here to tell you exactly that, every time you look at it. Celebrate yourself for who you are and how far you’ve come.

If you had all the money in the world, more than you could ever spend. What would you do? Some people know early on what they want, others might struggle with it. This piece is a reminder to always refer back to your ultimate goal, to not lose the big picture, make decisions based on where you want to be. Don’t be ashamed of what you want, go for what you want. Know what you want and then work towards it.

This is ultimately what self-love means to me: „I AM ENOUGH“. Do you know all these thoughts filling your head? „I don’t have enough money. My flat isn’t big enough. I don’t have enough clothes I like. I don’t socialize enough.“ It all boils down to „I am not enough.“. I'm working hard on breaking this pattern of negative thoughts and hope that wherever you are, you know that You. Are Enough.

I wanted to do a new abstract series, but then she wanted to come out and play. Haven’t done portraits in so long and couldn’t understand why I felt the urge to paint one now when I had a series to create. "HER" is my first big-scale painted portrait in forever. It's the catalyst that inspired the whole narrative of my "LOVE YOURSELF" series. It might be the only portrait I paint for a while, too.

Yes, I listened to Ariana’s song the whole time while painting. I love that song. I love her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Yes, I’ve watched it multiple times. Yes, I teared up when her mum and grandma entered the stage. Yes, I am constantly inspired by pop culture and I love it.

Normally I listen to music while painting, but with this, I talked to my brother on the phone (completely new experience, I will never do that again), not only did my phone battery die halfway through, I also knocked over my magenta acrylic ink, which was expensive and turned my floor pink. So I had half the painting done and then being irritated after mopping the floor, I tried to finish it and thought it was horrible. All around lots of bad feelings.
When I looked at it the next day, though, I really liked it for some reason! But I never forgot the pain out of which this grew as it was considerable. Funnily enough, it is one of my favorite paintings today.

Storm... when a gust of wind hits your face and the first spray of rain is pummeling everyone else inside, you give your body to the elements and start dancing.
Cool blues meet daring fuchsia on a high quality, extra thick gallery standard canvas. Edges are unpainted so the natural canvas cloth can peak through and be part of the composition
40x50x3cm, acrylic on canvas, comes to you signed (on the bottom right).
This is one of my favorite paintings to date. It invokes in me a calming sensation, like a breeze from the ocean or petals tumbling through the wind, finally settling in the water.

Wild abandon, big, fearless brush strokes and a dash of magic created this piece.

That day I was surprised by the first snow. I was out on my bike when my tires went out under me and landed in a snow ditch. I must have had a guardian angel, cause the snow was so soft that nothing happened. I looked funny though.

Lazy days of endless summer and lethargy. The feeling of heated up pavement, lawn sprinklers and a group of kids screeching in the distance. Ice cream that is melting too fast to eat. Not a breeze that stirs the leaves. Your thoughts are slow and heavy and you can’t remember what it would be like to feel cold. And for whatever reason, these blossoms you were gifted still stand tall and strong, petals lush and velvety, no drooping head in sight. As your mind slowly slips into lethargy, you wonder what inherent magic leaves this bouquet so flawless and joyful.

This piece is a representation of the road you need to take in order to fulfill your dreams. When you have a goal you want to reach but don’t know how to get there and everything you try is an attempt to get closer, but you never know if it’s going to work or not. Sometimes you’re just lost and don’t know which step to take next, because you’ve ended up in so many dead ends already. You might be lost, wandering in the dark, but still trying to push forward.

A reminder that nothing I’m doing right now needs to be perfect, I just have to get it done!

Inspired by a soundtrack I was listening to while painting, „Heaven is in your heart“ is a perfect representation of the moments when you have to go with your gut feeling. Trusting in yourself, in your heart, in your feeling, that something is the right thing for you
