At the beginning of the year, when I felt stressed and out of my depth, I saw an interview on youtube with Louise Hay. She talked about how she had one mantra that she keeps repeating whenever she felt anxious or things are not going the way she anticipated aka „💩 hit the fan“:

„All is well. Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good things will come. And I am safe.“

It spoke to me on such a deep level. It ignited a light within me. I grabbed my shoes and went for a 1h walk in the freezing cold. No headphones, no distractions, just me, chanting that mantra over and over while walking along the river in Seoul. Believing with every fiber in me that things will work out. This mantra gave me hope. Another perspective. Something to latch onto when I am out at see, drifting in hopelessness.

I came home with a cold nose and colder hands and feet and wrote these exact words on a post-it note that now hangs next to my mirror. I keep repeating and reaffirming. And this very quote led to the title of this painting.

Restoring balance when things feel out of control.

It reflects the power of repetition, faith, and quiet persistence.

It is about moving forward through uncertainty with trust rather than fear.

The painting holds a sense of reassurance and inner safety, offering a reminder that even when the path isn’t visible, forward motion is still possible.
