That's what social media is all about. "Look at what pretty pictures I paint!", "Look at my marvelous body and how spiritually awakened I am by doing Yoga every day at 5 am!", "Look at my dog. What a good boy. Here is a picture. And another. And another.", "Look at what I made to eat. It will be cold until I've taken the perfect instagrammable picture but it doesn't matter if I get just 5 more followers with this post". "Look at me", "No. Look at me!", "My life is perfect because that's all I want you to see!". Most of the time I don't mind and I even participate. But sometimes it all gets a bit much and I need a break. I might take one soon. Get away for a while, stop getting bombarded by perfectly curated feeds and feeling the need to photograph every single thing "just in case". Maybe I'll miss it. Maybe I won't.
