If there is one word I have been repeatedly described as throughout the years it is “strong”. I took pride in it. I liked being perceived as independent, capable, as the woman who gets the job done. But in recent years, I have shied away from that description. I’ve grown tired of being “strong”. It’s nice to know you can do it yourself. And it’s even nicer if somebody does it for you. I am slowly starting to relax into my softer side. Into allowing help in. In trusting, and in being playful.
